The Monmouth Museum

The Monmouth Museum
is one of the top five museums in New Jersey!

The NJ Emerging Artists Series

The Monmouth Museum NJ Emerging Artists Series is an ongoing program for artists in all mediums who are residents of NJ, who have never had a one-person show. The Nilson Gallery in the Monmouth Museum provides a unique and exciting opportunity for New Jersey artists to showcase their work. A very successful first series of six exhibitions was held during Summer and Fall of 2007 and through the Spring of 2008. Our Second Annual series began in the Summer of 2008 and featured oil paintings by Rick Buttari, and works in ink on paper by Linda Lee Nicholas. Currently on view are clay sculptures by Kathy Forer. The series will continue in the Spring of 2009 with works in glass by Yvonne Yaar, photographs by John Monahan, and works in acrylic on beveled wood by Darren McManus. The artists selected for this Series represent the diversity of talent in the State and demonstrate their creativity in a wide variety of media. Gallery talks scheduled during the exhibitions offer artists the opportunity to share insights on their work.

The New Jersey Emerging Artists Series at the Monmouth Museum is supported by the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.
